Who these terms apply to

These terms govern your use of borahaber.com and its installable app version (PWA). By visiting the site, creating an account, posting a comment or subscribing to the newsletter, you agree to them.

In these terms, "Bora Haber", "we" and "us" mean the borahaber.com news website and its publisher, Bora Haber Medya Yayıncılık Limited Şirketi. Publication and contact details are on our Imprint page.

How we handle personal data is explained in our Privacy page and Personal data notice; our use of cookies in the Cookie policy; and the rules for comments in our Comment rules. These documents form part of these terms.

The service

Bora Haber is a free news site offering news, live coverage, an events calendar, fixtures, weather and market information, quizzes, polls, a newsletter and breaking-news notifications. You don't need an account to read. An account adds features such as saving articles, quiz history, commenting and managing newsletter preferences.

We may change the content, design and features of the service, or suspend or discontinue any part of it, without prior notice.

Accounts

  • You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
  • Give accurate, up-to-date information. Don't use another person's name, email address or identity.
  • You can sign in with email and password, with your Google or Apple account, or with a one-time sign-in link sent to your email. Google's and Apple's own terms also apply when you use them.
  • Keep your password and sign-in links to yourself. If you notice activity on your account that you didn't authorize, tell us right away at info@borahaber.com.
  • You can delete your account and download a copy of your data at any time from your account settings.

Acceptable use

When using the site, you agree not to:

  • post anything that breaks the law, infringes personal rights or violates someone else's intellectual property,
  • try to gain unauthorized access to the site, its servers or other users' accounts, bypass security measures, or overload the service,
  • copy content in bulk with automated tools, or republish all or a large part of the site elsewhere,
  • skew poll or quiz results with fake votes, multiple accounts or automated tools,
  • manipulate ads or ad measurement through artificial clicks or similar methods,
  • use the name, logo or identity of Bora Haber or its authors in a misleading way.

If we see use that breaks these rules, we may remove content and suspend or close the account.

Comments and user content

You are legally responsible for the comments you post. Comments must follow our Comment rules.

When you post a comment, you give us a free, non-exclusive permission to publish it on Bora Haber alongside the related article, store it, and technically adapt its format (for example line breaks or how links are displayed). You keep ownership of your comment. This permission ends when you delete the comment or close your account, subject to any legal retention duties.

We are not obliged to publish comments and may remove comments that break the rules without notice.

Copyright and use of our content

Unless stated otherwise, the articles, headlines, summaries, quizzes and polls, design and software on the site belong to Bora Haber and are protected by copyright law.

Images come from licensed sources, and each image is credited to its owner or source. The rights remain with their owners; our license to use them does not pass to you, and you may not copy them for use elsewhere.

You may use our content within these limits:

  • Quote a short excerpt from an article, clearly crediting "Bora Haber" and linking to the article.
  • Share our articles on social media using the share buttons or by posting the link.
  • Use our RSS feeds for personal reading. Republishing feed content on another site or app requires our written permission.

Copying an entire article or a substantial part of it, or reproducing or republishing content for commercial purposes, requires our prior written permission. Send permission and licensing requests to info@borahaber.com.

If you believe your copyright has been infringed, contact info@borahaber.com with a link to the page and information showing that you hold the rights.

Quizzes and polls

Quizzes and polls are for entertainment and general information. Personality quiz results are not a scientific assessment, and poll results only reflect the views of those who took part; they are not a representative survey.

Each reader can vote once per poll. To enforce this, we set a cookie in your browser and use an irreversible hash of your IP address; see our Cookie policy for details.

Quizzes and polls may be sponsored. When they are, the sponsor's name is clearly shown.

Market, weather and fixtures information

  • Market data (exchange rates, BIST 100, gold, Bitcoin) is for information only, may be delayed, and is shown with its source and the time it was last updated. It is not investment advice; don't base investment decisions on it alone.
  • Weather information comes from MET Norway and is a forecast.
  • Fixtures and scores are for information only; official results are those published by the relevant federation or organizer.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from delays, gaps or inaccuracies in this information.

Third-party links and embedded content

Articles may contain links to other sites and embedded content from platforms such as YouTube, X or Instagram. We are not responsible for their content, terms or privacy practices. Embedded content loads only when you allow it in your cookie settings.

Advertising and sponsored content

The site and the newsletter contain advertising. Ads are shown separately from editorial content. Articles, newsletter sections, quizzes and polls produced on behalf of a sponsor are labeled "Sponsored" and published under the sponsor's name.

Advertisers are responsible for the products and services they promote and for any dealings you have with them.

Limitation of liability

We take care to keep our content accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee that every article is complete and error-free at all times. If you think something we published is wrong, please use the routes described in our Corrections policy.

We aim to keep the site available, but there may be interruptions due to maintenance, technical faults or our service providers.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect losses arising from use of or inability to use the site, decisions made in reliance on its content, third-party links or advertising. This does not limit liability for intent or gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close, without prior notice, accounts that break these terms or the comment rules, infringe the rights of others or harm the site. To appeal a decision, write to info@borahaber.com.

You can close your account yourself at any time. What happens to your data when you do is explained in our Personal data notice.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is published on this page with the date of the last update. We will announce significant changes to account holders by email or on the site. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the updated terms.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. The courts and enforcement offices of the Republic of Türkiye have jurisdiction over disputes. This does not affect the statutory right of consumers to apply to consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts.
