In an operation targeting Altınbaş Holding as part of the fund investigation, an outflow of 16 billion lira was found from Atlas Portföy funds belonging to the Altınbaş family.

The Altınbaş family was asked to return the 16 billion lira. Nusret Altınbaş, for whom a capture warrant was issued, is still being sought.

General framework of the investigation

The investigation, run by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and based on a referral from the Capital Markets Board (SPK), concerns price movements in the shares of four companies traded on Borsa Istanbul. As background, it had earlier been reported that 26 suspects were detained in this investigation, and that Nusret Altınbaş's brother İnan Altınbaş was among those detained. This information is general background to the investigation, not detail about the 16 billion lira outflow.
