Driver who said she was a lawyer fined 13,000 lira for driving the wrong way in Eskişehir

A woman driving the wrong way in Eskişehir tried to continue despite a police warning, saying she was late for a hearing. The driver, who said she was a lawyer, was given a 13,000 TL administrative fine.

A woman driving the wrong way in Eskişehir's Odunpazarı district was given a 13,000 TL administrative fine after she wanted to keep going despite police warnings. The incident took place on Yargı Street in the Kurtuluş neighborhood.

Police teams conducting a traffic check noticed the car with plate 26 AV 370 traveling in the wrong direction and stopped it. The officers told the driver she was going the wrong way and warned her to turn back.

Despite the police's repeated warnings, the woman refused to turn back. She said she was a lawyer and was late for a hearing at the courthouse, and wanted to continue on her way.

The driver was given a total administrative fine of 13,000 TL for the wrong-way violation and related traffic provisions.
