Hamal TV series plot and cast revealed: Oktay Kaynarca and Fahriye Evcen in lead roles

Interest in the series Hamal is growing, with viewers curious about its air date, plot and cast. The broadcast schedule has not been announced yet. The project was first revealed as Kafkas at the start of preparations and was later renamed Hamal.

Plot: The weight of the past

The story centers on Kemal, who has worked as a porter in Eminönü for many years. Kemal lives with his master Derviş and fellow porters in a group called "Son Kafile". His real burden is a deep regret left over from the days when he was known as "Harputlu Kemal". An unexpected death leads him to confront the dark past he thought he had left behind.

Hayat, who earns a living by singing at various venues, crosses paths with Kemal; the two may have to pay the price of the past together. Egemen, a powerful rival from that past, prepares to build his own order by turning one side of the city against the other. This time Kemal will fight not only for revenge but also to protect his loved ones.

The series brings together themes of crime, drama, justice, guilt, atonement, power struggle and love. Stretching from old inns to modern plazas, the narrative highlights two different faces of Istanbul and the conflict between these worlds. The relationships between Tekin and Hilal, and between Esfender and Melez, also play an important part in the side plots.
