British actress and model Elizabeth Hurley, 61, is engaged to Billy Ray Cyrus, a 65-year-old country singer she has been with for more than a year. Hurley announced the news by posting a photo on social media showing a large diamond ring on her finger.
Cyrus also hinted at the step by posting a ring emoji on his Instagram account. Sources close to the couple confirmed the engagement. Engagement rumors had started when Hurley was seen wearing a big ring on the set of The 'Burbs. One source said the chance of the ring being merely a piece of jewelry was very slim. When the news was published, no official statement had come from the couple's representatives.
Their relationship so far
The two met in 2022 during the filming of Christmas in Paradise. Friends at first, they got back together in February 2025 and made the relationship public around Easter that year. On the SheerLuxe podcast earlier this month, Hurley said they have more in common than people might think and, referring to their similar hairstyles, remarked:
Apart from the beard, we're actually like twins
