Istanbul and Ankara on Monday, 19 October: Concerts, theater and stand-up lineup

A wide range of cultural and arts events, from rock concerts to classical music and from theater to stand-up, will be held in Istanbul and Ankara on Monday, 19 October.

In Ankara today

Rock band Çilekeş will return to the stage with its album lineup after 21 years. The concert starts at 21.30 at the METU Alumni Association Vişnelik Lawn Amphitheater. Hybrit and Platonik will perform together at IF Performance Hall Ankara.

In theater, "Cambazın Cenazesi", part of the 18th Ethos Ankara International Theater Festival themed "Dreams, Fantasies, Utopias", can be seen at 20.00 at the Çankaya Municipality Atatürk Arts Center. In the same center's Kırmızı Salon, the Ankara State Opera and Ballet will stage the four-act "Carmen" at 20.00. The romantic comedy "Kaktüs Çiçeği" will be performed at 20.00 at Ve Sahne Panora.

The "Open Mic" night of the III. Ankara Laughter Festival will take place at 20.30 at Altı Üstü Bar.

In Istanbul today

Finnish metal band Swallow The Sun will perform with Ocean Of Grief and Shattered Hope at 19.45 at IF Performance Hall Beşiktaş. Schumann Quartett and Agapi Triantafyllidi will give a chamber music concert at Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall. The Saint Anthony Church in Beyoğlu will host the event "Bach, Jazz, Mendelssohn & Hungarian Dances" at 20.30. Kılıç will meet audiences with an acoustic performance at Hayal Kahvesi Emaar.

In theater, a dark comedy featuring Bülent Emin Yarar and Yetkin Dikinciler will be staged at 20.30 at the Zorlu PSM Turkcell Stage. "İçimizdeki Şeytan", adapted from Sabahattin Ali's novel, is also on the city's theater program. Comedian Tahsin Hasoğlu will give a stand-up show at Sahne Dragos on the Anatolian Side.
