SPK Chair Sütcü and Public Oversight Board Chair Gönül Removed; Taşkın and Candan Appointed
Presidential decisions in the Official Gazette removed SPK Chairman Mahmut Sütcü and Public Oversight Board Chairman İbrahim Ömer Gönül. Kutluhan Taşkın became Deputy Minister of Treasury and Finance and Şinasi Candan head of the Revenue Administration.

Decisions signed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and published in the Official Gazette changed several public posts. Capital Markets Board (SPK) Chairman Mahmut Sütcü, who had resigned, and İbrahim Ömer Gönül, Chairman of the Public Oversight, Accounting and Auditing Standards Board, were removed from their posts.
Kutluhan Taşkın, Deputy Head of the Presidency's Strategy and Budget Office, was appointed Deputy Minister of Treasury and Finance. Şinasi Candan, General Manager and Chairman of the Board of the State Supply Office (DMO), was appointed head of the Revenue Administration.
Other appointments
Kaan Kasım, Zekayi Çenge and Hüseyin Azili were appointed Deputy Heads of the Revenue Administration, and Ferhat Dinçer was appointed to a department head post there. At the National Lottery Administration, Hikmet Yıldırım was named board member, Salih Ercan deputy general manager and board member, and Nigar Genç chief legal counsel.
Yakup Gümüş was appointed Deputy General Manager for Disabled and Elderly Services at the Ministry of Family and Social Services, while Kırıkkale Provincial Director Çiğdem Açıkyıldız Kazel was removed. Kütahya Provincial Culture and Tourism Director Zekeriya Ünal was also among those removed. At the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, the Muğla, Muş and Afyonkarahisar provincial directors were removed, and new deputy general managers and provincial directors were appointed. Dr. Ali Ulvi Çalık was named Deputy Head of the Council of Forensic Medicine.
Who is Taşkın?
Born in 1978 in Akşehir, Konya, Taşkın graduated from Boğaziçi University's Business Administration Department in 2001 and started the same year as assistant planning expert at the State Planning Organization. He earned a master's degree in public administration at Cornell University in the US. He held various posts at the Ministry of Development and the Presidency's Strategy and Budget Office, most recently as its Deputy Head.
