Seğmen also shared the death notice of Alya Erdoğan, daughter of Bülent Erdoğan and Fatoş Erdoğan. According to the notice, the funeral prayer will be held at Narlıdere Central Mosque after the noon prayer, and she will be buried at Narlıdere Yukarı Cemetery.

The illness

Speaking for the first time since her loss, Seğmen said her daughter fought great pain with her tiny body. She said Alya had a chronic illness from the age of 8 months and fell ill at the slightest cold or after trips to and from Germany. She said the little girl was intubated twice and came out of those episodes strong. According to Seğmen, the family left the hospital to applause on May 25 and spent the summer in Çeşme.

Seğmen said a routine check-up revealed Alya had caught a virus, her left lung collapsed completely and she was kept alive with ventilator support. She said no private hospital accepted Alya and that she was treated at İzmir City Hospital. She said she received news that her daughter's heart had stopped just after stepping out of the intensive care room.

Sometimes no matter how hard you fight, you can't change the outcome...
