The father of Işıl Öykü Dinç, who died at 14, took the floor at the Istanbul Bar Association General Assembly and criticized Bar President İbrahim Kaboğlu and the administration. He criticized the investigation process that followed his daughter's killing.
Dinç claimed that three prosecutors changed within three days after his daughter's killers hired a lawyer who is a member of the governing party's Central Decision and Executive Board (MKYK) and a member of the TÜRGEV board. He also alleged that some people were treated as civil servants although they were not.
Addressing Kaboğlu
Dinç questioned the Istanbul Bar Association's stance in his daughter's case. He also said his wife had been blocked on social media by Kaboğlu. In his speech, Dinç said:
My daughter, my 14-year-old daughter Işıl Öykü Dinç was killed. In May 2025. After my daughter's killers hired a lawyer who is an MKYK member of the governing party and a TÜRGEV board member, 'three prosecutors in three days' changed. Procedures were carried out as if they were civil servants, although they were not. Where is the Istanbul Bar Association in my daughter's case? Mr. Kaboğlu, you blocked my wife on social media. Where is the Istanbul Bar Association?
