Three people who fell ill at the "Unreal x Jeton" concert held at Istanbul Congress Center in Istanbul's Şişli district were taken to hospital. One of them, 29-year-old F.A., died. Of the other two, T.M., 33, and M.S.R., 24, were reported to remain in critical condition.

Reports on the death toll differ. According to some reports, M.S.R. also died during treatment, while T.M. remains in critical condition.

How the incident unfolded

After people nearby noticed the three were unwell and raised the alarm, medical teams were sent to the concert area. First aid was given at the scene, and the three were then taken by ambulance to Taksim Training and Research Hospital. F.A. could not be saved despite all efforts by doctors. The exact cause of death is to be determined by an autopsy at the Forensic Medicine Institution.

Investigation under way

Police and medical teams began work to determine why the three fell ill. Initial assessments focused on the possibility of illness linked to alcohol and drug use, but no definitive finding has been announced.

Police's initial examination found that only people over 18 were admitted, alcohol was served at the venue, and the documents required for the event were in place. Around 5 thousand people were reported to have attended. The concert area was evacuated after the incident.
