Sergen Yalçın, whose name has come up for the head coaching job of the Turkish A National Football Team, announced that he signed a 4-year agreement with the National Team. Yalçın said he did not discuss his salary during the process. The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) is expected to make a statement during the day to make the development official.

I didn't even discuss my salary, I signed a 4-year deal.

Yalçın said they will work for the National Team, which he called very valuable, and that money and other matters take a back seat. Saying he wants to rebuild national unity, the coach added that his door is open to everyone regardless of club, with the only condition being that players earn the jersey.

"The crescent and star is above everything"

Stressing that the national team holds a special position different from club sides, Yalçın said the job is a great source of pride for him. Noting that he is friends with TFF President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu, Yalçın said he responded positively to the offer. He also said he hopes for a successful period with the support of the public.

The crescent and star is above everything. It is far above club teams. It is the place every coach wants to come to. It is also a source of pride for me.
